Vitamin E: The antioxidant you may need

Vitamin E is a fat soluble nutrient which contains antioxidant properties. Vitamin E is like a colleague of Vitamin A. It works mostly the same as Vitamin A but it has antioxidant properties which protect you from free radicals, when you're exposed to tobacco or smoke. It's also needed for your immune system to work better.

To get most of its antioxidant properties, it's better to consume it through natural products rather than relying on supplements.

Wheat germ oil, dry roasted sunflower seeds, dry roasted almonds, boiled spinach, boiled broccoli, kiwis, tropical mangoes, red tomatoes, and dairy products like milk, cottage cheese, and butter, are some natural food sources which help you get the best of Vitamin E.

Deficiency of Vitamin E is seen as rare but people with inherited or acquired health conditions like, cystic fibrosis, fat malabsorption etc., may find it hard to digest vitamins. Muscle weakness, eye problems, difficulty in walking and neuromuscular disorders are some problems faced when the body has a deficiency of Vitamin E.

Though, it's rare but still you should take care of your intake of Vitamin E to give its antioxidant magic to your body and live a healthy life.
