Vitamin A: The Anti infectant of your body

Updated: May 7, 2024

Scientifically, Vitamin A is a fat-soluble Vitamin. It's of two types, depending upon where it's found, plants or animals. Think of it as a mate of Vitamin C who doesn't get much attention but still does a lot of work! It's a superfood which helps you see everything. Both, from your eyes and your brain.

Vitamin A forms Rhodopsins and protects the cornea to keep your vision healthy!  To make an impression on others, it does some things similar to Vitamin C as well, like producing Collagen to keep your skin radiant and keep your immune system strong.

Now, the main thing is how can you get its nutritional benefits. No worries! Go to your kitchen and pick that creamy Butter, Sweet Potatoes, fibrous Pumpkins, red Carrots, Red Peppers, Papayas, Mangoes, leafy greens like Spinach, and broccoli and Red and Yellow vegetables like Winter or Summer Squash and Tomatoes.

But what if we ignore it and don't eat it?

Well, then, your body won't be able to prepare itself for the unwanted guests and you may get in the eyes of infections and illnesses to prey on you! It'll weaken your eyes too and severe cases can lead to blindness. You'll be left with dull skin and it'll increase complications for someone pregnant.

So, to not gather unwanted attention, you must be attentive towards Vitamin A. Grab some fruits and veggies, make a salad plate and keep your vision healthy and immune system strong.
