Diabetes is the malfunction when insulin in your body can't break down sugar for energy. High amount of Sugar can lead to severe health conditions and it's classified in the following types:
Type 1 Diabetes: It's an autoimmune disease. The immune system attacks pancreas, the insulin maker and the reason is unknown.
Type 2 Diabetes: It's the most common type of diabetes where your body becomes resistant to insulin and sugar levels keep rising in the blood.
Gestational Diabetes: This type develops when any women is pregnant, it usually goes away after the pregnancy but leaves the baby and the mother at higher risk of getting it at the latter stage of their lives.
18% of Diabetes patients come from India. It's the most common disease across all ages, from children to old people, everyone is a prey of it.
The reasons for this could be as follows:
Insulin Resistance: Genetically, Indians show a high resistance to Insulin, meaning cells don't respond to insulin.
Lack of Awareness: We know how big this problem is, most people remain unknown about this disease till it worsen their conditions. It's important to spread information about it so people would stay mindful about their diet.
Lifestyle Change: Since the 'westernisation', everything has changed. Lack of physical activities, and rising of bad diet is one of the major causes of all the bad health conditions round the world.
So, beware of your sweet tooth and stay healthy and cautious to live happily and longer.
Thank you!
